Skype pronto a sbarcare su Asterisk
Grazie alla collaborazione tra Digium ed Skype, annunciata recentemente, presto sarà possibile effettuare e ricevere chiamate Skype anche attraverso Asterisk.
Il software, che sarà distribuito da Digium attraverso il suo network globale di rivenditori, è gia disponibile in una prima versione beta, riservata a sviluppatori e system integrators, e puo essere richiesto dall’apposita pagina web.
Come dichiarato da Danny Windham, CEO di Digium, “Working together with Skype, our goal is to help businesses boost productivity and reap the rewards of feature-rich telephony software, all while saving a substantial amount of money. The Skype For Asterisk beta program is a first step towards adding Skype capabilities to Asterisk-based phone systems and enabling them to reach more than 338 million Skype users.”
La beta di Skype For Asterisk permette agli utilizzatori di effettuare, ricevere e trasferire chiamate Skype utilizzando l’infrastruttura hardware e software preesistente, mentre l’integrazione con Asterisk permetterà alla piattaforma di gestire funzionalità avanzate, come routing delle chiamate, IVR, voicemail e servizi click-to-call.
